Not sure what the oil companies in particular have to do with it,
though they certainly make out fueling these things- they burn a lot of
fuel.
Of course in this country Bush's tax cuts have fueled this kind of
thing- all part of the War on Terror; yachtsmen keeping an eye on the
world's waterways, etc.
