Just as the contract award for the virtual fence was being announced a reporter asked why not a stone wall or a fence? What is wrong with low tech? It worked in Berlin, in China, and for Hadrian. The U.S. is building these gawd-awful concrete sound barriers on highways. Why not take the same approach to the border? Jeez, the feds can even hire Mexicans to build the wall. Every 25 miles there will be a supply depot (Wal-Mart) where legals can cross.
