I had similar problems with a software (i don't remember what package) that
would not answer as a fax on my FAX/Modem board in my PC. I found out the
trouble was my software would look for CNG tone in the 1100 (+-) 10Hz range.
The trouble was some machines (and possibly your FAX board) send at
1100 (+-) 40Hz. Check with the hardwar manual on the switch box to see if
this is the case. I ended up having to change the software in my pc to
BitFAX 2.03 so I would recognize the range that FAX CNG might be sent in.
