To be fair it was the second drive they replace for me. The first one was broken when i first installed it. Part of a dodgy batch of Seagate drives that they replaced immediately. The second was a quantum scsi which went tits up after about 3 months. They said they'd send it off to get repaired. I supposed with the prices of disks dropping so rapidly they were worried that if they changed it immediately everyone would be bringing there 3 gig drives in after 3 months and getting credit notes and then buying 4.5 gig models. I was quite happy though cos those cheap quatum scsi aren't up to much and don't perform much better - if at all - than the udma versions which i bought with the note and still had some spare! :-)) regards, Peter Watkinson peter@peterw.demon.co.uk Links Directory - http://www.peterw.demon.co.uk/tech/
