There is no intention for Yucca to suddenly take delivery of all the nuclear waste in the US. It will start by treating the oldest (40 years +) waste first. It is not feasible to treat waste that is newer than that, because it is still cooling. You appear to be criticising Yucca Mtn for its inability to handle all the waste at once, including waste fresh out of the reactors. But there is no intention to dispose of waste that has not "cooled" sufficiently for transport and safe disposal. I think your criticism is disingenuous. >>>The fissures and leaks that are caused by the heat are an enourmous >>>difficulty. There is a chance of nuclear explosion. > >>Nuclear explosion. ROTFL. Where do you get your >mis-information? Where do you get your misinformation? Please cite a study which supports your statement "In every case, radioactive contamination has spread much quicker than anticipated by the underground streams". I am not holding my breath.
