Hi everyone,

Finally I got the networking running! After 6 days of juggling around, finally
it is working and I am happy. I just want to say thank you to everyone who has
shared their knowledge and experience and helped me. The inputs were very good
since I have never done any networking at all and those inputs provided me
something new.

I still can't work out why Win98 cannot ping. In the end, I try Win Me and it
is working although not as smooth as the Linux system. Linux and Linux, bingo,
working straight away pinging, IP masquerading and Firewall, fantastic!
Try Linux-Win98 can't even pinging each other and I almost buy a new NIC.
@$##@% for Win98. Try Linux and WinMe, initially they could ping each other but
when tried to actually set the ip masquerading for internet sharing, somehow
couldn't ping each other and when the pinging came again, still need to alter
bits and pieces in the Connection part where I actually had to put the proxy of
the ISP. When trying Linux-Linux, boom, no hassle at all, working straight away
so thumbs up for Linux.

Samba is working as well now. So my problem has been solved. Thanks again.

Alimin
