PPP Netcfg missing PPP?

Hi,
Totally new to Linux and am running Redhat 7.1.

So I'm trying to setup Netcfg for the internet, as well as let others
machines (W2k Server and W2k Pro) see the machine. I'm using a dialup
connection.

Now I've ascertained that I should be using the netcfg tool for dialup but
it appears to be missing the PPP button, but has all the other ones there.
So what have I done wrong? I let Redhat go for a normal setup and didn't
change anything (as far as I'm aware).

Should I also be using netcfg to setup Linux to see my W2k server? I let the
server use DHCP and would like the Linux box to be assigned an IP address
for the Lan. In the long run I'd like the Linux box allow the server and Pro
machine access the net through it.

I've checked all over the net but can't figure out why I'm missing the PPP
choice in netcfg.

Any pointers?

Cheers

Pete

Sorry about cross post but I've been working on this for about 8hrs with no
luck and would like to make some progress tonight.
