I'm a newbie and I have bought the APC mag Linux pocket book, excellent
thing, and I've followed the commands about making another user besides
root, (when I log on as root it's fine, I can use any xwindown thingy and do
everything), so as not to stuff anything up.  I did create another user and
made a password, I log on and do startx, it gets to the grey screen with a
cursor but stops, it goes no further, the only option I have is by clicking
on the screen and
selecting exit FVMN, or something like that.  Any ideas??
