Hi there > In particular, I'd appreciate (very much) hearing more from the people who > wrote about flaxseed oil. The family member has just begun to take > flaxseed oil. I take flaxseel oil as it is supposed to be - among other things - an antiinflammatory (I have TED). I don't feel it has a huge effect though, because if I forget to take it and then do take it, I don't see any changes when I begin again. This maybe because there are no more changes in the progress of my TED. According to one of my sources "...(Flax has )... a lubricating effect on intestinal membranes, good for constipation, sore throats and tonsillitis." I would like to think this is why I recovered from a recent sore throat/cold quite quickly and hubby didn't. There are other uses among which is the residue of the oil is used to fatten cattle. So flax may contribute to a slight increase in weight. Kindest regards, Diana
