A family member was hypothyroid and took Synthroid from 1976-1987. This person, a vegetarian, has had normal TSH levels ever since and attributes many health problems to the synthetic hormone. But recently, a test showed that (s)he was producing antibodies. Since the hypothyroid problem went away of its own accord, (s)he would like to hear from people whose thyroiditis has gone away of its own accord. In particular, I'd appreciate (very much) hearing more from the people who wrote about flaxseed oil. The family member has just begun to take flaxseed oil. E-mail or posts welcome. Thank you.
