OK - the tip I got from Claris..
(this first bit is part of my "sick of spam" advice - see .sig)

This is not true. Claris Emailer supports both AOL and Compuserve, and
has more robust filtering capabilities than Eudora. The filter I use
checks for BCCs, but also checks to see if the sender is in the address
book. This way I can receive BCCs from people I know (esp. useful when
someone is changing jobs, addresses, ...).
I have created a few tools to do this in Claris Emailer, and they can be
found on http://www.fogcity.com

So there you are. That's the place for the info.

Bigfoot does, but you might get your ISP to IP block stuff from certain
domains. Some do that - they discuss which on lists like Spam-L.

A touch OTT. What's the point of Usenet etc if not to communicate with
people you don't yet know?

True, it's a problem. Mail-side filtering is sort-of possible with Eudora
if you're confident enough about the quality of your filters.

Maybe, but idiocy springs eternal, both among spammers and their shills.
