Unlike spam, it takes paths designed for high bandwidth.  The data is
compressed and the amount bandwidth used for PointCast ads is far lower
than the bandwidth used for banner ads on web pages.

Excuse my naivette then....doesn't PointCast use the "spew"
theory.....just blast the whole interenet with the material and anyone who
turns on PointCast can hear it (similar to the way a radio station works),
or am I confusing their brand name with another class of Push technology?
