Good PCMCIA Modem for DELL Notebook?

I'd like to hear from anybody using a 28.8 PCMCIA modem on a Dell
Latitude LX. I replaced 4 (yes, four!) USR 28.8 Sportster PCMCIA modems
on my Latitude LX before coming to the conclusion that 1) USR's quality
assurance is non-existant and 2) this particular USR modem cannot deal
with the heat generated by the Latitude LX.

So, which 28.8 PCMCIA modem are you using and how do you like it?

Rather than flame USR, let me offer praise to the company that sold me
the modem, CDW. They stand behind their 30-day money-back guarantee and
have provide outstanding service.

Thanks,
Harry Bloomberg
