Well, Glenn, I've just spent 2 days trying to find out why my
modem hasn't been repaired and returned to me. It's been three weeks.
This is the second Infotel 14.4 I've had to return. Now they tell me
they
never received it, although I've called UPS, and it was delivered on July
7th. But Midwest Micro won't call UPS,
no, no--they want ME to get written proof that the modem was delivered, and
then mail it to them. What d'ya figure this will take--another week at
least? So, all in all, by the time I get my modem back (if I ever do!),
it will have taken them 5 weeks or so to fix it. So what good is a 10
year guarantee!
And the time it takes to get through to the service line--not to mention
how long you're put on hold once you do finally get through. Then you
have to deal with the rude and/or incompetent help on the other end. And
I've NEVER had a "service" representative call me back. I got one today
who refused to give me her name, and another who refused to let me speak
to her supervisor. And I was *begging*! This is not a company with who
I would ever do business again.
