Hi JoAnne,

I like to say "That's great news.", but I can't. Until I heard that you
in fact did receive the motherboard in 3/4 days without going through
any other trouble.

And even if you do receive the motherboard and get it to work, there is
another issue.

I did receive another e-mail just after I send you the e-mail. He had
same motherboard failure 5/6 months after he purchased the system (same
amount of time it failed on me). It show the possibility of defects on
the line of this motherboard.

He got the motherboard replaced easily. But now he concerns what happens
if it fails after 5 months from now when his warranty is out,

I think what you have to ask to yourself and the technician is what
micron would do if that happens again.
Are they going to replace the motherboard every 5/6 months without
charge include shipping & handling charge?
Can you afford the weeks of down time every 5/6 months?
If both you and they are willing to do that, then tell them to put it in
writing.
The biggest problem I had with their customer service is denying
everything they said and promised whenever I call them back.

Yet, I really wish everything works out for you.
Let's me know what happens.
Have a good day, and thanks for replying.

I just got off the phone with "William" in Tech Support at Micron.
They are shipping out a new motherboard for my PC. When it arrives
there is supposed to be a phone # I can call to get a technician to
come out and put it in.

I think this is pretty "cool." They said it may take 3/4 days so I'll
wait and see what happens.

JoAnne
