Yes, it can boot from another Sun, especially if the other machine is a 3/60
too (it simplifies things). I have a number of old Sun-3's here that I use
at Xterminals which remote boot of a larger Sun machine.

There is a port of NetBSD for Sun-3's, which would be a better starting
point than SunOS since it's much more up to date, and is continually
evolving. There's a mailing list specifically for the Sun-3 port too. If you
have web access, point a browser at 'http://www.netbsd.org'.

I have no idea how much progress (if any) has been made on the proposed port
of Linux, so maybe someone else can offer some comments on this?
