Well, it's FINALLY up and running. It was not one, not two, but THREE
bad tape drives. Yoikes! The controller (emulex) was fine. Once I
finally yanked a working drive from a friends machine, it booted.

Does anyone know of a common repair on archive drives? I see these
things cheap at local swap fests but I don't wanna risk MORE bad drives.
If I can readjust/repair these it might be better. Or not.

Anyway, it's running. Yay!

I'll of course be asking another round of new questions soon.

Bill
