I'm surprised it is even mentioned as a problem--I thought it was supposed
to be that way.  Ive had 98se since it came out and have never seen the "now
safe to turn off" screen."  So Ive had a problem for years and never even
knew it.  Ah well, I guess I will live with it for a few more years.
