(message en franais plus bas) Hello to all, I've got an annoying problem with my internal modem US Robotics Sporster FAX/Voice PnP... No way to connect at more than 21600 bps !! Sometime, very rarely, it works (33600), but if I retry immediately, it doesn't work anymore (21600). I already changed my modem at my local reseller, and it didn't change anything... Funniest is I found the workaround : I only had to use a non-shared IRQ by disabling one of the COM ports in the BIOS. This was on my old PC (Pentium 166), but now, it doesn't work anymore !! (Pentium II 333), even by disabling all COM ports (PS/2 mouse). If anyone has an idea about this, I would be grateful if you mailed me... Thanks in advance. Rem: no connection (well, maybe...), but I got for free an upgrade for the modem chuip to X2, but it didn't work at all (modem recognized as an external (?) X2 (PnP), but there was no response from the modem...). I phoned the same number : "no problem, the chip is defect, we'll send you a new one !" (no further news...). I inserted the old chip again, and it worked directly (at the time, without problem). Of course, I tryed the operation several times... (No translation found for the french expression) (french message follows) Bonjour tous, J'ai un problme gnant avec mon modem US Robotics Sporster FAX/Voice PnP interne... (aucune nouvelle depuis...). J'ai remis l'ancienne puce, et a fonctionnait directement ( l'poque, sans problme). J'ai bien sr ressay plusieurs fois... Ceci dit en passant...
