okay guys, i've tried the advice you guys gave, but there seems to be a
problem. okay, what I have now in my autoexec.bat is this:

@echo off
copy *.dat c:\progra~1\networ~1\mcafee~1 /y
echo Insert disk 2
Pause
autoexec.bat

the copying of the .dat files for disk 1 go smoothly, and it prompts me to
insert disk 2 and says 'Press any key to continue....'
So i insert my disk 2 and press the enter key and it just reads it for
awhile but there's no copying. (the autoexec.bat in disk 2 has only one
copyblahblah command.)

(in disk 2, i have only two files. one autoexec.bat and one scan.dat, i
renamed the autoexec.bat file in disk 2 to disk.bat, and changed the last
sentence (of autoexec.bat to disk.bat but it didn't work as well)

I tried this next,

@echo off
copy *.dat c:\progra~1\networ~1\mcafee~1 /y
echo Insert disk 2
Pause
copy *.dat c:\progra~1\networ~1\mcafee~1 /y

and it still didn't work. same problem as above.

I haven't got to try the .ini advice you guys gave as this problem hasn't
been solved yet. Would appreciate it if you guys could give me some advice.

Cheers,
Eugene.
