People in glass houses...
The Canadian constitution isn't exactly immutable either. After all,
we're talking about a country where the courts have ruled that just
being in a particular place ('a known area of criminal activity' or
some such definition) strips you of your rights against unreasonable
search. One of the famous 'it's a violation of human rights, but in
society's best interest' rulings. In Canada the government doesn't
even have to change the constitution to abbrogate it.
