They've got an mutual extradition treaty with the country of the poster breaking the Canadian law, and wish to pursue extraditing the law breaker... although I'm not sure if this can be done, since the law wasn't necessarily broken _IN_ Canada... B. Shut down all communications with the outside world. :-). There is no ban on that information outside of Canada, thus it is legal to post it outside of Canada, even though it's not legal to be posted in Canada. Contrarywise, threatening someone with death, is not only illegal in the United States, it is also illegal in Canada, and probably most of the other 200+ nations of the Earth. Therefore, if you threatened the presidents life, you would be breaking American law, which you apparently don't care about (and rightly so, since you are a Canadian), but ALSO Canadian law, which would place you in trouble if the U.S. decided to rain on your parade, as it undoubtedly would. Please remember, the laws of a country only extend to the nations borders (please don't drag up the U.S.'s policy of invading nations to apprehend criminals, this is _not_ correct, and nor do I agree with this policy, and the U.S. should pay for it's sinister doings. :). Citizens of another country are not bound by the laws of _your_ country. If they break your laws, once again, your government may attempt to extradite the law breaker, or hope that someday said law breaker will step within the jurisdiction of your government, in which case your government would have to frame law breaker for breaking a law _on_ your nations soil. (Yep, that's right, if I were to go to the Canadian border, and, from the U.S. side, shout details of the Homolka Trial, I could cross the Canadian border an hour later, and no legal action would be able to be taken, because I had broken no Canadian laws _on_ Canadian Soil... of course I would never do such a thing.) I am not justifying the publication of banned material, but I do believe that if everyone was worried about every other countries laws, we'd not do much, because everything we do is probably illegal -somewhere-... just like Canadians don't live by the laws of America, Americans in turn, do not live by the laws of Canada. It is to be noted however, that if a person/nation has any respect for another nation, said person will respect that nations laws too... but then to be asked is, when did an American show respect for anyone who couldn't pound them into dust? :) Nationalism... is a foolish thing... it is fostered by ignorance and politicians. :) We're _all_ human, and we're all in this world/solar system/galaxy/universe together. Pointing fingers at each other, because we live in a different place/speak a different language/call ourselves by another name/look different/smell funny... it doesn't solve anything. All your doing is delaying the advancement of humanity... Kevin L. Lord, commentator at large. :)
