Hang on there, Windigo. I offered to set up the list because people were
walking away from the newsgroup, and I wanted to make sure there was a
place to hold your little community together while people worked out
whether they wanted to start a newsgroup elsewhere, or would stay put and
deal with spam and hecklers.

Do you know how many people have subscribed to that list?

One.

Okay, two if you count me.

This is why I am calling into question this request for an active UDP of
Altopia. There was an alternative available, but obviously the newsgroup
wasn't seen as unusable by enough people for there to be a movement away
from it.

I will also restate that what had ben happening in AHWW *did* look like it
was going to become a flood like in the past. The fact is, though, that
it didn't go that far.
