I agree. See below.

I have to say, this whole thread is excellent evidence for a good
KOTM nomination... and just to show that the KOTM awards do NOT
discriminate against females in general...

Windigo the Feral has made the breathtaking threat of Legal Action
against news service provider alt.net, because people using that
service have ballooned the daily post count in the newsgroup
alt.horror.werewolves to over 100 posts/day! This constitutes
a FLOOD and a DENIAL OF SERVICE attack!

Ahem...

(Loading ahww to see zippo's 12-day feed...Ah yes, 803 in 12 days.
Yee haw.)

Not only that, but it appears that alt.barney.dinosaur.die.die.die
is also a victim of the flood attack. Yeesh.

Merely complaining about one provider's users heavily using one
group does not usually get a rise out of your average kookwatcher.
Implications of legal action for flooding a group that averages
a whole 70/day AFTER the flood, however, gets noticed. For this
quite awesome threat of Great Economic Harm for "littering"
gets a tip of my tinfoil hat.

(The thing that this author finds disturbing is it tends to ruin
the credibility of those who try to fight real Usenet problems.
Would that Usenet were that peaceful such that 803 posts in 12
days by _all_ users should receive instant attention from spam
fighters.)
