Naja, die DOS-Partition muss sowieso in den ersten 1024 Zylindern
liegen, die kannst Du ohne weiteres zur Linux-Boot-Partition machen
(auch bei Verwendung von LILO). Bei einer unserer Muehlen schaut das
z.B. so aus:

ls -ld /boot
lrwxrwxrwx   1 root     root           12 Jun 17  1997 /boot -> /c/lilo/boot

(/c ist der mount-point der DOS-Partition)

Im lilo.conf:

boot = /dev/hda
...
image = /c/lilo/l-2030.2gz
  ...
  root=/dev/hdd2

In /c/lilo:

boot/         kernel09      l-2030.gz     vmlinuz
boot15/       kernel09.ikr  linux.net     vmlinuz.mc
etc/          l-2030.2gz    linux.scs

In /c/lilo/boot:

any_b.b     boot.030    chain.b     os2_d.b
any_d.b     boot.b      map         system.map
