My 4 speed Panasonic CD drive is running extremely slow (like a single speed) and is practically unusable. It takes about 40 seconds to open Encarta. I'm unsure as to when the problem occurred but I think it may have happened after loading Norton Utilities and Vshield??? In fact the whole machine seems to run a bit slow at times. It actually runs out of memory when going to XTree Gold (DOS) and logging all files. I'm at my wits end and would appreciate any suggestions. My machine is a 90MHz Pentium with 32Mb RAM running Windows 95 and a 1.1G drive. Regards, Peter Windmill
