Can it be turned off? gpm -k It's the sound mouse feet make when they pitter patter several hundred times a second. I put it down to EMF finding it's way into my sound card. I can quieten it away by turning down the gain on unconnected input sources, but the gain levels seem to get forgotten when I shut down the computer.
