I'm trying to link a C++ program using gcc 2.7.0, but without much success. It's a fairly simple program, just using cin and cout. It compiles okay, but when it tries to link it, I get errors like "undefined reference to `cout'" and "undefined reference to `ostream::operator<<(int)'". It compiles but won't link, so I suspect that I'm not supplying correct switches for the linker to find the C++ libraries. Can anyone help with this? Can anyone give me some good general tips on how to use the compiler/linker for C++ programming? Also, are there any documents I can read about it, any reference books, any info? I've been through info, but that hasn't helped me with this specific problem. Thanks Henry ***** hgriggs@mpx.com.au Sydney, Australia.
