I rebuilt a 1.2.13 kernel with soundblaster cdrom support, now I get linux checking for CDrom drives all over the place and stuffing up my ethernet card - there is a message about editing /usr/include/linux/sbpcd.h, but editing exactly what? The CDROM is a panasonic matsushita kotobuki thing on 0x230, it works under linux fine, but I just want linux to look for only that one and not lasermates and others on other port addresses. Anyone got any clues?
