Just my 2 cents (that rounds to zero unless you read lots of my posts :) :

I bought the InfoMagic 6CD set from Downtown Software, and it does have
Redhat 3.0.3. However, I was not entirly happy with their service. When
I asked about Linux cd-roms, they pointed them out quickly enough, but
further questioning of their "technical unix expert" did not reassure me.
He said several times that the advantage of ELF binaries was that they used
"internal compression", and this was their chief advantage. He did NOT
mention position-independent code, dynamically linked executables or
libraries. In fact, he gave me the hard sell.

However, I had already decided to buy them as I was sick of borrowing
stacks of floppies from friends, and too tired of waiting for downloads.

In spite of my troubles with Downtown Software, they seem much better than
the nearby city stores, who could probably be beaten to death with Linux
CD-ROMs before they could clue on.

If you think i386 linux is hard to get, try finding the PowerPC version,
MkLinux - one x 60MB download.

Good luck,
AJ
