Hi, can someone please tell me the main differences between the different 
Linux distributions?  I'm going to install Linux on my computer, but I'm 
not sure which one to go for.  At this stage I'm probably leaning towards 
Slackware, but I'm not sure.

What's the general opion?  Which one is better Slackware, Red Hat (or 
perhaps another)? I know that Red Hat has a very recent release, and as 
far as I know, Slackware doesn't.
