This might depend on the version. I beleive there's something
like five different versions of the Diamond Stealth with different chipsets
- the DRAM and VRAM are almost completely different, and each of these has
gone through at least 2 different chipsets.
	I have a Diamond Stealth 64 DRAM, with S3 864 graphics
accelerator and S3 86C716 SDAC RAMDAC and clockchip. Once I told XFree86
(3.1.2) about these, it worked perfetly - though it took a while fiddling to
get the refresh rates right - I have a rather non-standard monitor.
Altough I've had a lot of hassle with it previously it now works
better under XFree than anything else, including Windoze 95. Make sure you
check exactly what the chips of the thing are though - it makes a big
difference. Best way I think is to open your machine and have a look at the
actual card - detection programs can be unreliable.

: On a different note, does anyone want to fill me in on
: what has been happening with Linux since around December
: '94 which was the last time I paid any real attention
: to happenings. I gather that Version 2.0 of the kernel
: is due out any day now. Apparently there is SMP support
: now?

Linux 2.0 is out as of yesterday - I'm now running it on my machine.
There have been enormous numbers of changes since 1.2.13 - you'll have to
upgrade a whole bunch of other components (procps, modules, possibly init
etc. etc.) to get the thing to work. The number of new features is too great
to list them here really.
