I recently became the proud owner of a NEC Silentwriter GDI Laser printer. This type of printer has no processing capability of of's own. The processing power is provided by windows. I have driver for windows and windows '95 that came with the printer. I am curious to know whether or not linux, or indeed any flavour of unix, can support GDI printers. This is not really a problem for me, but more of a curiosity. Cheers. ---------------------------------------------- Andy Wale (walfa@cougar.vut.edu.au) Victoria University of Technology Werribee Australia ----------------------------------------------
