I don't get it.
People tell me GCC 2.7.0 is broken,
others tell me it's not.

I was told if I want to do C++ I need 2.7.2 as there are some horrible
bugs in 2.7.0, but no one can tell me what they are.

When I tried to build LyX as an ELF binary, using all shared libraries,
it seg faulted every time, and the binary was unusable.
I could only get it to make by statically linking libc.5.0.9
yet I have no trouble with C at all (gcc 2.7.0)

I wish I could get a straight answer on this.
