Two days ago I picked up Red Hat (3.0.3) Linux Archives CD and it installed really easily. I had previously fiddled with a slackware version (4 CD set) and found X-Windows a bitch to setup (by comparison ;-) ). I am now trying to get my Linux machine to talk to a Win95 PC via ethernet. This is not going so smoothly mainly because the documentation (/usr/doc) seems to refer to previous versions of Red Hat. I suspect they may be trying to sell copies of their book ?? Other things seem to be missing. For example, Linux Unleashed refers to the commands adduser or useradd which I can't find. There is a v.nice X-Windows tool to do this, but *maybe* you don't want to use X. Rob Watkin
