Hi, Can anybody possibly help me with a little problem or at least point me in the right direction? I am trying to get the pcmcia package working on my notebook and have hit a wall. To start with everything looked fine. I upgraded to kernel to 1.2.13 and compiled version 2.8.13 of the pcmcia package without problems. However, cardmgr doesn't load and from running strace it appears that the problem is that libc.cat is not found. cardmgr looks in a variety of places for the file: /etc/locale/C/; /usr/lib/locale/C and so-on and then dies. I've had a look and the file is not on my system. Question 1: What is libc.cat? It would look, from the name, like a listing of library filenames but that's probably a poor guess on my part. Question 2: Where can I obtain this file? Is it part of the libc package and, if so, what version should I get?
