I need to run a 1.3.x kernel (I've got a GoldStar CD-ROM drive which doesn't
work correctly under 1.2.x), and I'd like some recommendations as to
which is the most stable.

I'm presently running 1.3.57 (which has been OK, until tonight
when it got stroppy while I was doing some compiling), and I've
tried 1.3.71 (the most recent on the CD's I've got around, and
which went completely berko as soon as I did anything much with
SLIP).
