I have installed RedHat 2.1. I set up my dot-matix printer as /dev/lp,
and my bj10e as /dev/lp1, using the Control Panel tool. When I run
"cat file>/dev/lp1" it prints to whichever printer is connected, but
"lpr -Plp1 file" justs sits in the queue and never prints. Likewise "-Plp".
Even restarting lpd, via lpc, doesn't help.
I can read my mail from the remote server, using the latest Netscape,
but not when I use elm or pine.
My /etc/hosts is:
127.0.0.1 localhost
203.3.126.33 desire.apana.org.au desire
203.3.126.8 diamond.apana.org.au diamond
My /etc/resolv.conf is:
domain desire.apana.org.au
search desire.apana.org.au
nameserver 203.3.126.33
My HOSTNAME is:
localhost
Any help would be much appreciated.
