Tech man (techman@iamerica.net) typed: : I would like to use Linux as a server in a workgroup environment, : what I need is the software to make it happen. Does anyone know : what I need to make windows95 machines talk to a Linux server? Judging by the responses to this question, it seems there's two ways of interpreting your question. Do you want the Linux machine to be able to mount the vfat/win95 drives, or do you want the win95 machines to be able to login to the linux server? If it's the former, as was suggested you'll need the samba tools. If it's the latter, as was suggested just fire up the TCP/IP stack that comes with win95 (it's in the internet explorer or something I think - I have no idea since I don't beta-test crappy Microsoft products *grin* -- Matt blame the bad formatting on vi :)
