I've asked around of peeps I know but I still have a prob when trying to use the X-Windows demo in Yggdrasil's Linux Plug-and-Play (Fall 1994). When trying to load X-windows it asks various questions re mouse and screen - mouse is OK but screen?... I've got a 2mb video card with S3 chipset (805) and a Samsung monitor (Syncmaster 3Ne) which goes up to 1024x768 with various frequencies. I have tried using the S3_generic option , clock speed to be determined by the software and also 60hz, by 1024x768. I either get a useless picture or an error. Also, on getting back to text-mode I do not get anything except a cursor. Anyone got any ideas on ANY of this? e-mail me at nicol@ibm.net Thanx
