Does anyone know : > what I need to make windows95 machines talk to a Linux server? Get Samba, a freeware SMB server for many unices. Works like a charm once you've got TCP/IP set up on your 3.11 or 95 machine. See http://lake.canberra.edu.au/pub/samba/samba.html If you want it to work the OTHER way round (use an SMB based server like LanMan/NT/Win95(?) on a linux machine), you can get the ksmbfs filesystem, which is fairly stable. -Taj. -- Sirtaj Kang - DAQ Programmer, School of Physics, University of Melbourne ssk@physics.unimelb.edu.au ssk@mundil.cs.mu.oz.au | "Grindcore and death ssk@grimwade.biochem.unimelb.edu.au | build character."
