'lo all,
	just thort i would post this so that anyone else that might be
having problems could see how i fixed it :)

My CR574B cdrom was connected to the sb card and using that as its ide
interface, so basically i pulled it outa there, made it slave and put it
after the 3rd hard-drive straight from the Ide controller. and made the 3rd
hd master of course...

The main problem was the way the cd-rom talked to the ide controller through
the damn soundcard ... heres wot dmesg looks like now =)

hda: Maxtor 7850 AR, 814MB w/64KB Cache, LBA, CHS=827/32/63, MaxMult=8
hdb: Maxtor 71260 AT, 1204MB w/256KB Cache, LBA, CHS=612/64/63, MaxMult=16
hdc: WDC AC31600H, 1549MB w/128KB Cache, LBA, CHS=3148/16/63, MaxMult=16
hdd: MATSHITA CR-574, ATAPI, CDROM drive
ide1: secondary interface on irq 15
ide0: primary interface on irq 14

looks alot better now :)

Thanks to all those who offered Help... finally got it worked out :)

PS: If anyone else is having problems and they have their cd-rom plugged
into the ide controller in their soundcar, plug it straight into your ide
controller that your hd's are on =)
