The 5434 has only been used on PCI boards so far, so I'd presume it's PCI specific. What is it you need about the 5434? Apart from higher dot clocks (up to 115MHz, vs 85MHz for every earlier Cirrus card), it's not a lot different to the 5429, which is the top VLB model. The 5429 supports faster DRAM access with X than the 5434, too. For 800x600 at 24 bit you will need 2MB RAM on the card. hamish Hamish Moffatt | Rising Software, Melbourne, Australia Phone: +61 19 429 086 | Email: rising@rising.com.au hamish@rising.com.au | Phone: +61 3 9894 4060 s9506579@yallara.cs.rmit.edu.au | Fax: +61 3 9894 3362 Cloud Nine BBS: +61 3 9886 5195 | Web: http://www.rising.com.au --- GoldED/P32 2.42.G1219+
