You can download everything you need to install Linux, but it will take you a
fairly long time and you will need to work out just what you need. In my
opinion a better solution (if you have a CD-ROM) is to buy a Linux CD. They
range in price up to $40 and can be found in many software shops. They will
give you all the files you need and lots of information on how and what to
install. Unfortunately it's not always a simple process.

If you still want to download Linux, I use the Australian FTP site
monu1.cc.monash.edu.au - I am sure there are others.

There is always some risk to installing Linux because you have to muck about
with your disk drive parameters, which may end up clobbering all your files if
you get it wrong. Linux certainly can be made to work with W95 but I have not
done it myself. I suggest you spend some time reading the comp.os.linux.setup
newsgroup to get all the latest information.

Good Luck

John
