I am using a quantum 1 gig byte drive and a 2 years old ISA IDE card with NO
problems at all. All i spent is just $270 for the hard drive.

Why? Just get the disk manager dm.exe from the supplier of
your hard disk. Make sure the version is at least version 7.x as earlier
versions won't work with linux as quoted by the disk manager faq.

If you know how to install linux, i don't think you have problems with
installing disk manager (which resdes in MBR after installation).

Before having disk manager, i can see only 500M in fdisk.

Cheers with your linux box and have fun with your new drive!

Paul
