Hi everybody, I have a monitor whose only identification mark is ``KTX SVGA'' on the front --- no specs, no company name, no docs, nothing but a ``Made in Taiwan'' sticker on the back. It does not appear in the monitor database. Has anyone used one of these to run X? It's frustrating, because the generic VGA monitor config gives recognisable pictures, only they're patchy and not quite right --- the text is almost readable if the font is big enough, which is not exactly what I want. I would use vgaset to tweak it, except that I would have no idea what I was doing, and I fear that the warnings about trashing ones monitor with incorrect specifications will come true. On a related note, how does MS Windows know what to drive the monitor with? regards, Fraser.
