Did you actually get 3.0 to compile?  I managed to get 3.0pre6 to build, but
the WWWLibrary_3.0.tar.Z and WWWDaemon_3.0.tar.Z that I just got look more
like an inoperative snapshot -- lots of references to undefined symbols in
HTDaemon.c, most notably.
