[Sorry if this is an FAQ.] A friend & I are planning to port an MS-DOS application to Linux to run using svgalib graphics. At present it makes extensive use of the graphics library in TurboC, and the most logical thing would be to write a set of access routines to svgalib which emulated the Borland calls. That way the one source program will continue to function for both Linux and MS-DOS. The big question is: Has this been done already? Is there a Borland_to_ svgalib interface package out there that we can use? Many thanks, in anticipation of some kind person pointing me at a ready solution. BTW#1 Yes, I know of at least one Borland to Xlib interface. We want to be able to run it without X. BTW#2 If you are curious, the applications are the JDIC and JREADER Japanese Dictionary drivers. [I have cross-posted this to a couple of groups, but aus.computers.linux is the only one I can keep up with. Replies by mail may be best.] -- Jim Breen [$@%8%`!&%V%j!<%s(J@$@%b%J%7%eBg3X(J] Department of Robotics & Digital Technology. Monash University.
