In Australia, there is a fairly wide range of prices for identical units, and amongst USB drives, some, like mine, need a separate power point. I keep mine turned off and backup manually instead of automatic because I believe the power supply is the weakest part of the unit. To guard against bad complications its generally essential to right click the drive icon and 'eject' before powering the drive down. -- Bob "I don't believe in evil, I believe in right and wrong, and very often they are the same thing"-Paul Theroux, in Milroy the Magician.
