I have had warp for three weeks now and every thing was going fine (except when shutting down. the square saying press Ctrl-Alt-Del was not there), which i didnt mind. But since this weekend is started playing up. It all started by trying to change the startup sound. When I booted again with the new sound it started playing as it should but after about 5-10 secs warp crashes, and I mean with all the regs info etc. So I change the sound to another and it does the same. Some ofthe times it would just sit there which it obviously had crashed but there was no register screen and message. So I thought _maybe_ its the buffer for the audio device so I change it, that didnt do it, I reset the no of threads thinking that might have done something (I had increased it) no help either. Another thing that I noticed is that when I press Ctrl-Alt-Del, (this is after I changed the sound to a small file (THX sound) it didnt crash), the pc makes a wierd noise that it didnt do before. As if this is not enough today I was trying to set an icon for my dos mixer but it kept saying that the settings were incorrect and I tell that they were. After I deleted one of the parameters it started. Strange! then I was doing the same for Epic Pinball (which warp recornised by the way!) and it kept saying that again the settings were incorrect. Sooooo I open an os2 window and type start /dos and guess what It wouldnt start, it was giving me errors which had to do with the shell I think(4os2/4dos). But now its all gone and there is problem. I am going crazy. I am thinking that the hd controller might me faulty as I have being reading that other people had hardware probs. and warp crached. Now I have the my old card which I am thinking of putting back on BUT if I do will that effect os2 in any way? I mean will it not have to try to identify it or something like it does at the install procedure? Also when I installed I turned the cashe, turbo, shadow ram etc off just like with os2 2.1, in the manual though there is no reference to that. Could it have effected it somehow? Should I reinstall with those on? BTW the information tool thats in the second cd-rom said that my 486DX 33Mhz was a 386Sx????? _Please_ If you had similar problems and solved them help me out. If u know what happening please follow up. Thanks alot.
